Silver Bullet runs on a computer
Open this page on the Windows, Mac or Linux computer you want to use it on.
Choose your system from the list below.
Install it
Either download the zip above, or paste one command: it downloads the right package, checks it against the SHA-256 built into the command and installs it for you. When Silver Bullet is already installed, the installed copy also checks the new package's signature before anything is replaced. Neither needs administrator rights.
With one command (PowerShell)
irm https://silverbullet.govirang.com/install.ps1 | iexOr by hand
- Unzip the download anywhere, for example in your Documents folder.
- Double-click
SilverBullet.exe. It opens in your browser. - If Windows SmartScreen says Windows protected your PC, click More info, then Run anyway.
With one command (Terminal)
curl -fsSL https://silverbullet.govirang.com/install.sh | shOr by hand
- Double-click the zip, then drag
Silver Bullet 3.appinto Applications. - Open it. If macOS says it cannot check the app, open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway.
With one command
curl -fsSL https://silverbullet.govirang.com/install.sh | shInstalls into ~/.local/opt/silver-bullet-3 and adds the silverbullet command.
Or by hand
- Unzip the download:
unzip SilverBullet3-desktop-*.zip - Start it:
./SilverBulletin the unzipped folder. It opens in your browser.

Checking a download
Compare the SHA-256 of the file with the one above:
